A few months ago my dear friend and wedding planner/designer, Miranda Estes of Sugar(ed) Occasions, came to me with the idea of doing a styled engagement shoot contest where the participating couples had to create their own concept using Pinterest. The winning couple was Stephanie and Alex that came up with a fabulous idea based pretty much in the new Starz show “Magic City”. The concept was old glamorous Miami in the 60’s with a hint of this century. Stephanie wore a black vintage dress for the formal look but the cherry on top was a 1960 red Corvette that belongs to Stephanie’s dad. She was styled by the very talented Sandra Ferrin of Runway Bride who worked closely with the couple to find the perfect outfit for each look. We also had to find a Miami’s landmark that was maintained in a way that would depict this time frame and what better than the classic National Hotel on South Beach. We were received and assisted by the amazing Beth Halm who was a real pleasure working with :) Thank you!
I couldn’t have ever imagined a better idea, photographed a most beautiful couple and worked with a better team! Thank you Miranda, Sandra, Maritza, Claudia, Maria Elena & Giselle, Beth and last but not least Stephanie and Alex, you guys were all simply PERFECT!
I LOVE you all…
